How do I clean my worktop?

There's nothing easier than cleaning and caring for your Duropal Worktops.

A major advantage of Duropal Worktops is that the HPL surface makes cleaning so simple. Usually a moist cloth is sufficient, but use washing-up liquid to get rid of any grease . Stubborn dirt can be removed with an organic solvent such as methylated spirits or alcohol. Brushes with hard bristles (but not wire brushes) may also be used. Can I buy direct from Pfleiderer/Duropal?

We don't sell directly to the public, you will need to contact your nearest retailer, or Distributor/Supplier if you are a trade customer.

Where is the nearest retailer?

Can I just buy a worktop, not the whole kitchen?

Yes, some retailers and on-line suppliers will sell just the worktops.

How much is a worktop?

Since we don't supply directly you need to check with your retailer.

Can I buy edging strip separately?

The retailer can get edging strip separately from their distributor.

Is it possible to get a splashback/upstand in the same laminate as the worktop?

Matching compact hpl back panels are available for 18 of the worktop decors, and hpl upstands are available in 42 matching decors. Please see the availability chart or download a copy of our brochure from the downloads page.

How much does a worktop weigh?

Approximate weights for our 40mm worktops are: 4100 x 600 = 62.6kg, the 4100 x 670 = 66.6kg and 4100 x 900 = 104.2kg

Can I get the Quadra decors in Classic profile or vice versa?

No, the profile options are only available as detailed in our current worktop brochure.

Is it possible to get a worktop from the range in a different texture?

No, the textures are only available as detailed in our current worktop brochure.

How do I get scratches out of High Gloss?

You don't!

What standards do Duropal worktops conform to?

Duropal worktops are surfaced with genuine HPL guaranteed to BS/EN 438; they are hardwearing and easy to clean.

The glueline is guaranteed moisture and heat resistant to BS/EN 204.

We are also DIN EN ISO 9001 certified and our worktops have the FIRA Gold Award. Please refer to the downloads page for copies of these documents.

How ‘green’ are Duropal worktops?

Duropal worktops are PEFC certified. Please refer to the downloads page for copies of these certificates.

Can I buy matching sheet laminate?

Yes, matching sheet laminate is available for all decors. Please contact your retailer or supplier for details.
